The crest above our brand logo displays a planer, a compass, and a square – the tools of a cabinetmaker skilled in crafting fine furniture or other unique items. The drop in the center stands for cleaning and care, while the shield-shaped emblem symbolizes the protection and preservation of these precious pieces – that is our expertise.

Quite simply: our company is based in the beautiful northern German Hanseatic city. This is where we – and Carl Schrader – are at home.

Our Origins

Merchant C. Schrader

“Schrader Bremen” from the traditional Hanseatic city in northern Germany is the quality brand for professional home care. It goes back to the merchant Carl Schrader, who lived in Bremen’s Horn district and supplied households in the 1930s with everyday necessities. From his collection comes a wide range of recipes, which still form the basis of our highly effective care and cleaning products today.

One special product at the time was a care wax for valuable wooden furniture, which according to contemporary witnesses was very popular. Forgotten somewhat after World War II, the product was relaunched in the 1970s as “Schrader Antique Wax” in its proven quality and has since sold hundreds of thousands of units both in Germany and abroad.
