• To apply liquid cleaning and care products to smooth surfaces, we recommend a lint-free, non-abrasive cotton cloth. It absorbs the liquid evenly and releases it gently back onto the surface.
• Our dirt brush is ideal for removing coarse dirt from robust surfaces like wood. For polishing leather, the polishing brush is the best choice. The jar brush, on the other hand, is perfect for targeted application of leather fat.
• Our practical sponges support gentle polishing while reliably trapping dirt – ideal for use with our Universal Metal Polish and Shiny Silver Polish.

Before treating wood, leather or metal, make sure the surface is thoroughly cleaned and completely dry. This prevents dirt from mixing with the care product and, in the worst case, causing scratches.

For leather, we recommend using our Leather Cleaner Sensitive before applying the Leather Care Balm or Leather Fat. This ensures optimal care results and helps preserve the beauty of the material over time.

Moisture on wooden surfaces should always be removed immediately. If this wasn’t possible and a water mark has formed, our Furniture Care Balm can help. Simply place a cotton pad soaked with balm on the affected area for a few hours or overnight. Please test this method in an inconspicuous area first. Do not use on open-pored, untreated or delicate wooden furniture.

Many antique furniture pieces and musical instruments are finished with shellac. These surfaces are highly sensitive and can be damaged by some care products.
